Sam Garnett

Senior Pastor

Pastor Sam grew up in a Christian home and trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior at about age 7. Even though he felt God was calling him into ministry, he fought it and it wasn’t until 1991 that he was ordained into the ministry after being called as pastor of the Vernon Baptist Church. After many life events, he became the pastor of Calvary Bible Church in the fall of 2002. Ever since, he has served faithfully at the church. Pastor Sam along with his wife, Sherrie, are the parents of five adult children, all married, and are the proud grandparents of fourteen.

Spanish Leaders in Training Gibran Casas and family

Gibran accepted the Lord at the age of 18 (2006). Originally from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, he has served in various ministries within the church. He is a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer by profession. He and his wife Cynthia were married in 2013. In 2022, together with his wife Cynthia and their children, Gibran Jr. and Cynthia Jr., they moved to this country. Since January of 2023, they have been attending Calvary Bible Church and became members in November of 2023, specifically in the Hispanic Ministry, where he has been faithfully serving. Currently, he is receiving training and he and his wife will be students in Faith Bible Institute this fall (2025). Gibran and his wife have a desire to continue growing in service to the Lord and strengthen the faith community. He and another visiting Hispanic pastor are sharing the pulpit teaching the Word each week.
