Why Do You Need a Delightful Intimacy With Jesus?

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” Heb. 12:2

Covid times have been bizarre and hard. More than ever, in spite of all the technology available for communication, we feel lonelier. As humans beings, we have been created to fellowship with others, to do life with others, to share our moments with others, to not be alone, and to fight for our dreams and hopes next to one another.

But, what happens when even surrounded by people, you’re alone? Although you are with the people who love you and you love, you feel distant – when it’s hard to articulate what you are feeling – they want to understand you, but they can’t.

Where do you go when people close to you have disappointed you? When someone abuses your trust.

What do you do when you feel in your heart you have a battle to fight but no one else supports you, no one else seems to care for the cause?

Today, I want to talk to you about someone. Someone that, although the world doesn’t get it, he does. Even when people around you cannot comfort you, he can. He knows what is going on inside your heart when you can’t yet explain it. He loves you and cares for you. He is willing to listen to everything you have to say, and he is never busy. More importantly, he will always speak to you in truth.

If you engage in a relationship with him and spend time with him, he will never leave you as he found you; he doesn’t want to change the circumstances for you, he wants to change you for the circumstances. He wants you to understand he is the only one who can change your disappointments, he wants you to bring those disappointments and dead dreams so he can bring them to life.

He is the answer to confused people, comfort for the brokenhearted, and the propeller of every fight whose cause is willing to support.

His name is Jesus. He knew and loved us before the creation of the world – love so big that motivated him to leave his throne of glory to come and die for our sins. So we wouldn’t have to be alone, so we could be reconciled with God the Father. Therefore, in him and through him, we could enjoy real intimacy. We could all be satisfied and comforted forever.

Jesus desires to have a delightful intimacy with you.

Christ (Jesus) is all and is in all. If you are feeling lonely, distant, or abandoned, fix your eyes on Jesus, who has invited you to a closeness with him in which you will always be satisfied. A closeness that will overflow as a spring of water from deep within your soul.

You just need to be intentional about finding the moment for that intimacy . Jesus is waiting for you.
